Presidential Library and Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library: cooperation developing

The Presidential Library is participating in the International Scientific and Practical Conference Science. Library. Information, which will be held on February 12-13, 2025, at the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of its founding.

In his video message, Yuri Nosov, General Director of the Presidential Library, emphasized that over the years, the library has become one of the largest information and research centers in the country, with its collection of documents forming part of the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus.

The collaboration between the Presidential Library and Yakub Kolas Central Science Library is actively progressing. In April 2024, these two organizations signed a cooperation agreement, leading to the establishment of an electronic reading room at Yakub Kolas Library that provides access to all materials from the Presidential Library collection.

"It is significant that on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Presidential Library's collection will receive a donation of partisan newspapers from the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library. Also, the staff of the Presidential Library will participate in a roundtable discussion titled "Librarians - Soldiers of the Victory" as part of a conference at the Presidential Library", said Yuri Nosov.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science, Library, Information" will discuss issues related to the formation and development of scientific libraries, research areas, scientific and organizational activities, information and analytical support for science, education, culture, industry, and society, as well as scientific, bibliographic, and scientific and methodological work in the context of digitization of the library environment.
