Take part in quiz tournament dedicated to 80th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War with Presidential Library

The Presidential Library is co-organizing the All-Russian Open Quiz Tournament dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The tournament invites teams of up to 5 people, consisting of cadets, Suvorov students, Yunarmeyts, secondary school students, university students in their first three years, college students in their 1st-4th years, schoolchildren in grades 7-11, and members of sports and creative teams and youth associations formed based on joint activities, studies, and shared hobbies. The age range for participants is 14-23.

There is no limit on the number of teams from each educational organization.

Registration for teams is open until April 18th, 2025, 12:00 (Moscow time), at the following link: https://aciso.timepad.ru/event/3215669/#register.

The online tournament will take place from 8:00 Moscow time on April 19, 2025 until 8:00 on April 20, 2025. On the day before the event, participants will receive a link containing login information for the platform.

During the competition, teams will answer questions related to the events of World War II, as well as the heroes and feats that shaped the fate of our country. They will also have the opportunity to explore historical secrets, discover new methods of information retrieval and problem-solving, learn about ciphers and how to use them, and more. The platform will be accessible around the clock for all participants.

Results will be announced on April 24. Winners will receive diplomas, while winners in individual categories will receive additional prizes such as cups. Teachers who prepared winners and medalists will be awarded certificates, while all other participants will receive participation certificates.

  • To expand and deepen their knowledge of Russian and world history.
  • To study specific little-known documents and facts that reveal the true state of affairs.
  • To foster the development of their search and research abilities.
  • To encourage critical thinking about the found material.
  • To promote cognitive activity.
  • To enhance their intellectual-communication skills.
  • To orient them in unusual situations.

2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Peace and Unity in the fight against Nazism. Conducting an intellectual quiz at this time is an excellent opportunity for students to expand their knowledge about this important period in history. It can help them understand the events that shaped the fate of their country and appreciate the sacrifices made by their ancestors.

The organizers of the quiz tournament were the following organizations: the Association of Heads of Information Security Services, the Law and Order Shield Foundation, the All-Russian Public Movement of Mentors of Children and Youth "Mentors of Russia", and the B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Library with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Department of Education, the Moscow Department of Mass Media and Advertising, the International Academy of Communications, the "No Statute of Limitations" educational and training project, and the Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. Also, the organizers included the international IT-Planet community and the all-Russian public organization "All-Russian Student Union".
