"Memory Book of the Heirs of Victory presented in Hungary

10 April 2025

"The Memory Book of the Heirs of Victory" at the Russian Cultural Centre in Budapest is open to everyone. Every visitor can share their feelings or memories of the events of 1941-1945 on the pages of this book. The ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia in Hungary have already left notes.

The book is in a leather binding, with the sculpture "Motherland Calls!" on the cover.

You can leave entries until May 9, 2025, then the "Book of Memory" will be transferred to the library of the Russian Cultural Centre in Budapest, where it will also be available for guests.

The Presidential Library's Electronic Reading Room, opened at the Russian Cultural Centre in Budapest in November 2013, now allows its guests to get acquainted with the entire variety of collections of the national electronic repository.

Visitors to the Russian Cultural Centre will be interested in the large-scale electronic collection Memory of the Great Victory. It includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and home front workers, their personal documents and many other materials.

On the Presidential Library's portal one can also  learn the collection Russia – Hungary: the history of relations. The collection presents some legislative acts, official documents and other materials characterising the administrative, state and economic structure of Hungary (including the period when it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), as well as some aspects of its relations with Russia.
