Regional stage of All-Russian intellectual game "RosQuiz" held in Kurgan

The staff of the Presidential Library Regional Centre, operating on the basis of A.K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library joined the All-Russian intellectual game "RosQuiz".

Eight teams from specialised secondary educational institutions in Kurgan took part in the event, which was held at the Regional Centre and dedicated to Cosmonautics Day.

The ninth team included members of the regional branch of the Young Guard of United Russia.

In team No. 10, deputies of the Kurgan Regional Duma, leaders of public movements, the Ombudsmen for Children's Rights and Human Rights in the Kurgan Region, as well as Igor Postovalov, Director of the A.K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library played alongside the children. 

The game participants answered questions on the history of space exploration, discussed modern technologies and space missions, astronomy and space structure, recalled legendary cosmonauts and scientists.

A large amount of interesting information on space topics is presented on the Presidential Library portal in the materials of the electronic collection "Outer Space". The collection includes fragments of newsreels, periodicals, books, photographs, postcards, commemorative medals and badges reflecting various milestones in the development of cosmonautics.
