Photographers of 20 – 30 years old proved themselves the most active participants. The youngest contestant, a resident of Ryazan, has just turned 8.
Laureates were defined in accordance with the following nominations: “People and Events”, “Borders and Spaces”, “State Symbols”, “Customs and Traditions”, “National Memorials”, “Japan through the eyes of Russians”. The names of the winners were announced by representatives of consulates of the Republic of Korea and Germany, the St. Petersburg State University, the Presidential Library and information partners of the photo contest - The St. Petersburg Times and the Russian Union of Tourist Industry.
As a result of the contest the library held the traditional electronic exhibition: plasma panels featured the photographs of the winners of the 2011 «Foreign View» photo contest. Also was presented an exposition of electronic photographs featuring the Republic of Korea and Koreans which were submitted to the photo contest over the last two years. By tradition the Presidential Library will issue a photo album of the works by winners and nominees.
