“Electronic Resources Master Catalogue Creation” project partners’ meeting

1 March 2012, the Russian State Library (Moscow) hosted the first meeting of the “Electronic Resources Master Catalogue Creation” project partners. The meeting was attended by Director General of the Russian State Library, A. I. Visliy; Russian State Library Director General Deputies, A. Yu. Samarin and I. A. Gruzdev; Director General Deputy of the National Library of Russia, O. N. Kulish; Executive Secretary of the Presidential Library, V. A. Beresnev; Director of the Presidential Library Reserve Center, Yu. P. Pimashenko; Presidential Library Director General Deputy for Information Resources, E. D. Zhabko. The LIBNET National Information & Library Center was represented by Director General, B. R. Loginov and Financial Director of the Center, I. V. Nozdrin. The meeting was also attended by representatives of regional universal scientific libraries of Belgorod, Tver and Vladimir in the person of Directors Deputies for Automation, N. V. Sorokaletova, L. V. Novinskaya, V. I. Verzilov. The leading specialists of national libraries in the field of cataloguing and linguistic support acted as experts.

Executive Secretary of the Presidential Library, V. A. Beresnev, presented to the audience the major goals and objectives. B. R. Loginov submitted for consideration the requirements specification of the “Electronic Resources Master Catalogue Creation” project. After his presentation the attendees exchanged their opinions. It was resolved to start forming a working group of the project and ask V. A. Beresnev to head it.
