The filmmakers of "Tobol" in telecommunication with the Presidential Library
Today, on April 27, 2017, the Presidential Library connected the filmmakers of the “Tobol” movie using telecommunication method. The Tobolsk State National Historical and Architectural Park and Museum act as the main videoconference venue. This is the third event this year in workflow runtime of the Outreach and Awareness-raising Center of the Tyumen Oblast.
Videoconferencing connected the creators of the filmmakers of “Tobol,” an adviser to the Governor of the Tyumen Oblast Alexander Novopashin, the head of Tobolsk State National Historical and Architectural Park and Museum Natalya Vetryankina, representatives of the mass media and the institutions of culture of the Tyumen Oblast.
The participants of the event have forecasted the prospect of contemporary cinema art. The main theme of the meeting was the details on filmmaking of “Tobol,” which observes the development of Siberia during the time of Peter I. The movie tells about the first Governor of Siberia Prince Matvey Gagarin and Russian enlightener Semen Remezov.
The general producer of “Tobol” Oleg Urushev said that the release of the full-length same name movie is scheduled at the end of 2018. In addition, the filmmakers are going to release a television version of the 8 series, which will be aired in early 2019.
The head of the Tobolsk State National Historical and Architectural Park and Museum Natalya Vetryankina mentioned that the choice of the venue for video-conferencing is not accidental. “On August 8, 2016, the Scientific Library of the Tobolsk State National Historical and Architectural Park and Museum was connected to the resources of the Presidential Library. This is a mutually beneficial cooperation for all local people,” - she said.
To date, the Presidential Library implements a number of educational, outreach and awareness raising projects in which the documentary or feature films can be involved to some extent. The Cinema Club is one of such events where the movie screenings and discussions are going on. This cultural and outreach project is running on the basis of the Presidential Library since 2012. Several thematic areas of work have been formed. It is offering the classics of historical cinema along with current documentary, the projects of beginning filmmakers and much more.
