The editor of the “Rodina” magazine, Doctor of Philosophy, head of the Center for the History of Arts and Culture of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, historian and writer Semen Ekshtut mentioned that selected for publication materials, apart from describing the course of events, tell the stories of real people. He also emphasized that one of the main “Rodina’s” principles is to give an objective assessment of the history.

At the end of the event, Angelika Gurskaya, the director of the Northwest Branch of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta, pointed out that such presentations in the Presidential Library are planned to happen on regular basis.

The Presidential Library and the newspaper “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” are actively cooperating. At the end of 2016, an agreement on cooperation between the institutions was signed, within which a multimedia exhibition entitled “Year of the “Rodina” magazine 2016: historical events in people's stories” was held on the premises of the building on 3 Senatskaya Square. In February 2017, the Presidential Library hosted public video lecturing, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the 1917-year’s revolution in Russia, in which the February issue of “Rodina” was presented. Some time later, the issues of the popular science publication will replenish the Presidential Library stock.
