The Presidential Library expands regional relations with constituent entities of the Russian Federation
The Presidential Library is dynamically working to develop cooperation with the regions of Russia. Currently, cooperation agreements have been signed with 63 subordinate entities, including in 2017 — with 18 regions, such as: Belgorod, Saratov, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Oryol, Kursk, Lipetsk, Novgorod, Kurgan and Smolensk oblasts, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Mari El, Khakassia, Tuva, North Ossetia, and the Stavropol Territory.
Such cooperation promotes the expansion of interaction in the educational, cultural, outreach and awareness raising scopes, sharing experiences, conjoint stocks replenishment.
For the Presidential Library this area of work is a high-priority one. Its digital fund numbers today more than 550 thousand entries. Among them are the electronic copies of printed and archival materials, audio and video recordings, abstracts of dissertations and other documents reflecting the centuries-old history of Russian statehood, theory and practice of law, and the Russian language as the state language of Russian Federation. A special place in the Presidential Library stock belongs to the digital collections with focus on regional studies, materials of which are featuring all 85 constituent entities of our country.
Establishing and developing cooperation with the regions is also one of the primary areas of work of the library. Overall to date, more than 370 remote centers of access to the resources of the Presidential Library already opened in 85 regions of our country.
