Round table "Children's Diplomacy: What Can We Do for Peace and Cooperation of Our Countries?" was held at the RCSC in Prague

August 29, 2017 in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Prague within the framework of the international project "Life is Beautiful!" was held a round table "Children's Diplomacy: What Can We Do for Peace and Cooperation of Our Countries?". The event was prepared and conducted by the International Cultural Institute "Klyuch" with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Czech Republic and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic.

The round table was attended by delegations and students speaking at the children's playground of the 35th session of the United Nations in Geneva, volunteers of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students, Czech participants in the change of the International Children's Center "Artek" in 2017, as well as schoolchildren of gymnasium №1 from the city Novosibirsk.

The participants of the round table were welcomed by the first secretary of the embassy ​​Yekaterina Barancheyeva, the deputy head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office Oleg Solodukhin, the head of the science and education department of the RCSC Veronika Novosyolova and the chairman of the MCI "Klyuch" board Anna Yevsina.

Within the framework of the round table, the students were divided into groups and discussed the following topics: the role of diplomacy in resolving complex political processes in the international arena ("diplomatic service = peace to peace"); the application of diplomatic principles in the daily life of a person ("diplomacy as a lifestyle"); the development of intercultural interaction in a youthful environment.  

As a result, the guys prepared short speeches from their groups, after which they asked questions to professional diplomats who attended the meeting.

At the end of the round table, the jury members announced the results of the essay contest on "Young diplomats - diplomats of the world!" and awarded souvenirs from the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic and the RCSC in Prague to its winners.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "Russia-Czech Republic: from the history of relations". The collection includes studies, essays, official documents and photographs highlighting certain aspects of the life of the Czech Republic and its relations with Russia during the XIII-XXI centuries.
