Delegation of the Embassy of Denmark in Russia visited the Presidential Library

An evening with the renown Danish writer, the author of the world bestseller “Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow” (or “Smilla's Sense of Snow”) Peter Høeg took place in the Presidential Library on September 5, 2017. Known for his penchant for taste for solitude, he for the first time decided to visit to Russia and to meet with his readers. Representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Russia, staff of the Consulate General of Denmark in St. Petersburg, the Danish Cultural Institute in St. Petersburg, faculty of St. Petersburg State University, stuff of the “Symposium” publishing house have participated in the event.

Guests and the library staff employees from the Moscow Oblast, Krasnoyarsk, Kostroma, Astrakhan, Petrozavodsk and Pskov joined the meeting in the video-conferencing mode.

In the framework of creative evening with writer Peter Høeg the Ambassador of Denmark in Russia and the General Consul of Denmark in St. Petersburg met with the General Director of the Presidential Library Alexander Vershinin and discussed the directions for further long-term cooperation.
