“Grand meeting” in the Pskov Oblast Universal Scientific Library

September 5, 2017, the informative and mentally beneficial program entitled “InfoMania. Grand meeting in the library” took place in the Pskov Oblast Universal Scientific Library.

Overall five sites were working for the Pskov Cooperative Technical School students.

On the most numerous site “Aim for everyone’s sake and positive emotions…” by means of flash presentations the library specialists shared four lifehacks:

— Information transparency and literacy: learning environment of “nauchka” (means “scientific library”) (the head of the department of social, business and legal information D. A. Samokhin);

— Linking the past and the future: The Presidential Library in Pskov (the leading librarian of the Pskov Regional Center of the Presidential Library E. N. Novikova);

— “Pskovschina” (oblast): the most significant events, heroes and phenomena of the Pskov Oblast (the head of the Department of Regional Studies E. G. Kiseleva);

— From the first sight, from the first lines: “Book monuments of the Pskov Oblast,” virtual museum of “The breath of centuries” book (the head of the Center for Work with Rare and Valuable Documents of R. A. Denisov).

Within the framework of the “Grand Meeting” an interactive prize winning tournament was held among the participants. On the busiest site called “Very-very free books” the students have added their home libraries with the books that will be helpful in their studies.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the action named “Knowledge Decade.”

The cooperation of the Presidential Library with the Pskov Oblast has been developing since 2013. On December 10, 2013, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Administration of the Pskov Oblast. The cooperation agreement with the Pskov Oblast Universal Scientific Library was signed on March 18, 2013.

There is an electronic collection “Pskov Oblast: pages of history” on the Presidential Library website. The collection includes the studies, essays, statistical materials and archival documents of the late XVIII — the middle XX century, describing the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the Pskov Oblast in various historical periods.
