Activities for the first-year students in the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library

This year the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library received full access to rich resources of the Presidential Library and began actively using these resources in its projects.

With the beginning of the new academic year, the Ecological Workshop and the Day of the Chair "Ecology and Life Safety" for the first-year students of the Kurgan State University, studying the ecology have already been held at the Center for Ecological Culture and Information of the Library. During the events, teachers and students got acquainted with the library's electronic resources - the website, the electronic catalog, their own and external databases - including full-text databases. The information resources of the Presidential Library caused special interest among the listeners. In the Public Access Center of the Library, the participants learned about the history of the creation and development of the Presidential Library, got acquainted with the possibilities of using electronic portal services and worked in the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library.

The attention of the guests was also accented on the regional collection "Kurgan region: pages of history", presented on the portal of the Presidential Library, which contains digitized materials on various subjects - manuscripts, photographs, text materials, etc. Being users of the Presidential Library, the participants will certainly find a lot of useful information for use in educational and professional activities.
