Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation Started in Mongolia

Days of Russian-Mongolian friendship and cooperation started in Mongolia. This year they were opened with a bilateral forum "Russia - Mongolia. Cooperation-2017" with the participation of parliamentarians of the two countries, representatives of Mongolian state and non-governmental organizations. Representatives of seven regions of Russia, more than forty Russian business companies, as well as creative teams and teams on sports and artistic gymnastics from Novosibirsk participate in the forum.

On the first day of the forum, an inter-parliamentary dialogue was held in the Palace of the Government of Mongolia in the format of a round table, where topical issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed. Then in the exhibition center "Michelle Expo" the solemn opening of the exhibition of Russian goods and services "Made in Russia" took place. At its opening, Mongolia's Minister of Construction and Urban Development Gombosuren Munkhbayar delivered a welcoming speech from the Mongolian side, on the Russian side the head of the Russian delegation, the first deputy chairman of the Committee for Economic Policy of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, the chairman of the Presidium of the Russian Association for International Cooperation Kalashnikov.

The grand opening of the Days of Friendship took place in the Central Palace of Culture, in the foyer of which was presented a photo exhibition about Russia and the Russians "Vernissage". The audience in the hall was welcomed by Mayor of the capital of Mongolia Sunduy Batbold. The Russian side was greeted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Iskander Azizov, who drew attention to the most significant events in Russian-Mongolian cooperation over the past year, and dwelt in detail on the events of the “Russia-Mongolia” forum.

Within the framework of the Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation, numerous events will be held in the period from October 2 to November 24, not only in Ulaanbaatar, but also in various regions of Mongolia. The opening of the Friendship Days on a large scale is planned in Erdenet, Zavkhan aimak, in nine branches of the Russian Language Center at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. The Russian Center, together with the Union of Mongolian Friendship Societies, scheduled the Days of the Russian Language and Russian Culture with a trip to the Hanti, Bulgan, Uvsunur and Uvurkhang Aimaks of Mongolia.

The Presidential Library portal presents the electronic collection "Russia - Mongolia: from the history of relationships". The presented collection includes studies, essays, archival and other materials reflecting certain aspects of the life of Mongolia, as well as the history of diplomatic, military and economic ties between Russia and Mongolia of the XIII-XXI centuries.
