"Treasury of Wealth" in the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library

On October 12, students of Lyceum № 4 of the city of Ryazan and employees of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library went on a virtual tour of the Presidential Library. "Treasury of Wealth" - under this motto was held the familiarity of the children with the unique fund and the activity of one of the national libraries of Russia.

The event was held in the form of a practical seminar, during which the participants worked independently on the portal of the Presidential Library, carrying out the tasks proposed to them. The seventh graders were able to get an idea of ​​the rich foundation of the institution, looking through electronic copies of the Ostromir Gospel of the XI century, a special copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation used for the inauguration of the President of Russia, documents reflecting the historical features of the subjects of the country in the section of the collections "Regions of Russia".

In the section "On this day" the guys learned about the events that took place on October 12, focusing on the 667th anniversary of the birth of Dmitry Ivanovich Donskoy. Evaluating these materials, the students agreed with the opinion of the department employee that they can be used to write abstracts and projects.

The richness of audiovisual materials surprised even this curious audience. Video lectures, documentaries and feature films of the era of silent movies, newsreels, video tours - all this variety of audio and video products is represented on the portal of the Presidential Library.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the children got familiar with the resource "The President of Russia - to citizens of school age", who briefly, intelligibly and entertainingly informs about the President and the Kremlin, the symbols and attributes of our state, the history of power in Russia.

The portal of the Presidential Library presents the electronic collection "The Ryazan Region: Pages of History". The compilation includes studies, essays, archival documents, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings that introduce the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the Ryazan region in the period of the XIV and early XX centuries.
