Photo exhibition to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Kazakhstan was opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Astana

October 16, 2017 the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Astana hosted a photo exhibition "25 years of diplomatic relations between Russia and Kazakhstan".

A quarter of a century ago, on October 22, 1992, the heads of government of the two countries signed in Moscow a "Protocol on the exchange of plenipotentiary representations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation".

The opening photo exhibition in the RCSC was prepared with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Russian Embassy in Astana. It presents more than 60 photographs from the archives of ITAR-TASS, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Museum of the Russian Embassy, ​​Kazakh and Russian media, as well as photocopies of selected diplomatic documents. They recreate the picture of the development of interstate relations, economic, scientific and cultural ties, cooperation in space exploration, "people's diplomacy".

The exhibition was opened by the head of the RCSC Viktor Nefyodov. The event was attended by representatives of the public in the capital of Kazakhstan, student and student youth.

The Presidential Library portal presents the electronic collection "Russia-Kazakhstan: from the history of relationships". The collection contains statistical materials, studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and newsreels that introduce geography, ethnography, economics, cultural development and administrative-territorial division of Kazakhstan in the XV-early XX centuries, including the period of its entry into the common state with Russia.
