The I International Congress-Exhibition "The Russian Word in the Dialogue of Cultures of Russia and Kyrgyzstan" was opened in Bishkek

On October 25, the I  International Congress-Exhibition "The Russian Word in the Dialogue of Cultures of Russia and Kyrgyzstan" was opened at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), organized by the Altai State University in conjunction with the KRSU. The project is being implemented within the framework of the Russian federal target program "Russian Language" for 2016-2020.

At the inauguration of the congress and exhibition the speech was delivered by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic Eduard Krustkaln, who noted the special significance of the event, aimed at strengthening the humanitarian ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. E. Krustkaln also emphasized the role of the Altai Territory and the Altai State University in preserving the Russian language, Russian education and the traditions of Russian culture in the republic.

A two-day program of the congress-exhibition will include a conference, educational and methodological seminars and a festival of Russian and Kyrgyz national cultures.

The Presidential Library there portal features collection "Kyrgyzstan: Geography, Ethnography, History". The collection includes studies, essays, archival and cartographic documents of the XIX - early XX century. XX century, reflecting the period of Kyrgyzstan's entry into the Russian state.
