Opening of the remote reading room of the Presidential Library in Omutinskaya secondary school №2
October 11, 2017, with the support of the Omutinsky municipal district administration, the Omutinsky Secondary School №2 hosted the grand opening of the remote reading room of the Presidential Library.
The electronic key of the hall was given to the director of the educational institution Alla Borisovna Komarova by the adviser to the director General of the Presidential Library for External Relations, the director of the branch of the Presidential Library in the Tyumen region Oleg Leonidovich Shor. The creation of an electronic reading room in the Omutinsky district will bring the entire education system of the territory closer to the unique content and educational potential of the Presidential Library.
The head of the Omutinsky municipal district V. D. Voller, a deputy of the Tyumen Regional Duma V. A. Rein, Advisor to the Governor A. P. Novopashin, as well as representatives of TOGIRRO, heads and representatives of the spheres of culture and education of neighboring municipal districts congratulated with this significant event. .
Participants of the event were able to see firsthand the possibilities of the electronic reading room, equipped with interactive training systems, a video-conferencing system. Together with their teachers, the students showed fragments of lessons in the humanitarian, natural-mathematical direction, which were devoted to the World Space Week. Pupils of junior and middle classes were examining on the interactive board the photos and drawings of the starry sky, space satellites, a video about the history of space, making virtual projects about the first artificial satellites, animated clips about the founder of domestic cosmonautics K. Tsiolkovsky. Senior students worked with the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, got familiar with scientific works. With great interest, the students reviewed the publications of the newspaper “Tyumenskaya Pravda” of October 15, 1961, where, in particular, the speech of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was published.
The opening of a remote electronic reading room will allow accessing to the President's library's richest resources not only for teachers and students, but for all residents of the Omutinsky district. In the near future, cyber-volunteers will begin to work, which will help to understand the use of the Presidential Library funds for older people.
