The round table “War Libraries: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” in the Presidential Library

November 23, 2017 at the round table “War Libraries: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" in the Presidential Library were discussed the further development of librarianship in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The event was organized by the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library gathered together representatives of military and naval libraries, educational and scientific organizations, archives, museums and other organizations of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The specialists of the Presidential Library introduced the guests to the formation of electronic library collections, the technology of digitizing materials, the use of electronic resources in the military-patriotic education of the youth, as well as the possibilities of the new Internet portal of the Presidential Library.

The cooperation of the Presidential Library with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has been developing since 2015.
