Presentation of a unique historical project in the Novosibirsk regional center of the Presidential Library

Today, December 18, 2017, the regional center of the Presidential Library, acting on the basis of the Novosibirsk State Regional Scientific Library, hosted a presentation of the interregional educational project "120 years of the West Siberian River Shipping Company". The event was broadcasted online on the portal of the Presidential Library.

The main goal of the project is to show the history of the West Siberian river shipping company on the basis of printed publications and illustrative material stored in the funds of regional libraries, archives and other organizations. These documents formed the basis for an interactive exhibition "120 years of the West Siberian River Shipping Company".

Within the framework of the presentation, unique materials that reveal the history of the development of the domestic shipping company, were presented. Their digital copies can be found in the fund of the Presidential Library. To date, it has about 600 thousand units of storage.

In the video-conferencing mode the event was attended by specialists from the Novosibirsk State Regional Scientific Library, the V. Y. Shishkov Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library, the Pushkin Central City Library of the city of Surgut, the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, the Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Scientific Library.
