The Presidential Library presented new cultural, outreach and awareness raising projects

In the course of the 21st meeting of the Cooperation Council of National Libraries of Russia, the Presidential Library presented new cultural and educational projects.

In 2018, it is planned to launch a new information resource — Internet broadcast channel. It will be created on the basis of the television complex of the Presidential Library. This project is designed to expand the boundaries of the information space of the Presidential Library. Owing to the new resource, users will be able to see the most relevant and interesting materials from the Presidential Library stock, library’s own in-house film production products, as well as works received from the partners — the museums, libraries, film studios; news, live broadcasts of meetings with famous scientists, writers and public figures.

For the Russian libraries, the Internet channel, as professional media, will become an opportunity to regularly get involved in the latest news and trends in the library field. For the heads of institutions, representatives of government bodies — this is a platform where they can hear thousands of professionals from all over the country. At the moment, there are no any analogues of similar, aimed at library professionals, information resources in Russia.

Representatives of three national book depositories of Russia — the Russian State Library, the Presidential Library and the National Library of Russia — have already outlined their plans on cooperation for 2018 in the course of work of “Organization of cultural and educational activity” section. For example, the idea of creating joint thematic and multimedia exhibitions for their realization within the information environment, along with public video lecturing and press conferences. Cooperation is also planned at the international level: to participate in foreign projects, conferences, forums, etc.

It stands to mention that the Presidential Library as the largest multifunctional center pays a lot of attention to the development of such the fund, which is a result of interaction with the federal and regional libraries, archives, museums, universities, government bodies, mass media, public organizations and private individuals.
