The Presidential Library summed up the contest of media projects of the First International Festival "Everything Begins With a Childhood"

8 February 2018

In the Presidential Library within the regular session of the cinema club a screening of the finalists of the media projects contest of the I International Festival of Children's Creativity "Everything Begins With a childhood", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of A. M. Gorodnitsky took place.

"We are grateful to the Presidential Library for the opportunity to showcase the works of the children's media contest within its walls, because the library not only has the latest technical capabilities, but also is friendly with the poet", - said Elena Pakhorukova, director of the Alexander Gorodnitsky Foundation for the development and popularization of poetry and song.

Within the framework of the festival, everyone was able to take part in various contests - literary, artistic words, musical, theatrical and choreographic, fine and decorative and applied creativity, in the contest of media projects. The plots that won the last nomination were demonstrated at the cinema club meeting of the library of the Presidential Library, and their authors told about the idea and realization of their, perhaps, the first creative plans in life.

The full-time round involved children from 6 to 18 years. The youngest participants of the project presented their work at the event: the children from the elder group "Znayki" of kindergarten № 1 of the combined type of the Nevsky district showed the video "Atlanta". The special jury, which includes the press secretary of the Alexander Gorodnitsky Foundation Tatyana Gorshkova, the archivist of the Foudnation Elena Raiskaya, the senior research fellow of the Scientific and Methodical Service of the Presidential Library Elena Smolina and others, asked the small authors their questions and learned that those attending this kindergarten have been studying history of Saint-Petersburg since five years; it was started with the Winter Palace and, of course, they were very impressed by the stone atlantes, about which Alexander Gorodnitsky wrote his song.

The video "And our Kolomna as well ...", prepared by the students of the school № 323 of the Nevsky district, told about the school years of Alexander Gorodnitsky, who wrote a song about the courts of his childhood "Between the Sink, the Fontanka and Pryazhka, this lost district".

"Love the Motherland, the guys", "Our bard Alexander Gorodnitsky", "It's not terrible to lose the ability to surprise, it's more terrible to lose the ability to be surprised" - the names of the commercials of beginning filmmakers speak for themselves. In the final of the contest there were held presentations in which the children analyze the work of Alexander Gorodnitsky - bard, poet, well-known geophysicist, whose name is one of the minor planets of the Solar System.

The work of A. Gorodnitsky is not the first time to be considered in the Presidential Library. In 2016, at the meeting of the cinema club was premiered a documentary film "Portraits on the Wall" by Alexander Gorodnitsky, dedicated to the front-line poetry of Boris Slutsky and David Samoilov.

The event ended with the collective performance of a well-known song "The Atlantes keep the sky on stone hands ...".
