Seminar to the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Romania was held in Bucharest

February 8, on the eve of the celebration of the Day of the Diplomatic Worker at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bucharest, a presentation-seminar dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Romania was held.

The head of the RCSC, Natalia Muzhennikova, presented the history of the development of bilateral relations from the XIV century to the present day. As a basis, key aspects of the activities of Russian / Soviet / Russian ambassadors in Romania were taken.

In addition, urgent problems of the development of modern international relations, the role and place of Russia in the world, as well as the prospects for the development of bilateral dialogue between our countries, were touched upon in an open discussion.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "Russia-Romania: from the history of relationships". The presented collection of archival cases, books and other materials highlights the socio-political situation of Romania and certain issues of economic relations between Romania and Russia of the XIX-XX centuries.
