Ecological Workshop in the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library

February 15, 2018 the Center for Ecological Culture and Information of the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosts a workshop "Resources on the ecology of the A. K. Yugov KOUNB – for education. Access opportunities" for students of the Kurgan State University.

The program of the workshop included familiarity with the library's electronic resources: a website, an electronic catalog, with its own and external databases, including full-text databases. In the Center for Public Access to Information, students learned about the possibilities of using the electronic services of the Presidential Library portal.

During the workshop, a practical lesson to work with the resources of the Presidential Library was held. Students easily mastered a simple and advanced search for documents, studied several thematic collections.

In 2018, the Kurgan region marks the 75th anniversary of the foundation, and therefore the students' attention was focused on the regional collection "Kurgan Region: pages of history", which included studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic and photographic materials of the XIX - early XXI century, characterizing the administrative, socio-economic, geographical position of the Kurgan and Shadrin uyezds, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kurgan region. At the end of the event, students became readers of the Presidential Library.
