The regional center of the Presidential Library of the Komi Republic was visited by young readers

February 16, 2018, the regional center of the Presidential Library, operating on the basis of the National Library of the Republic of Komi, was visited by pupils of kindergarten № 108 in the city of Syktyvkar.

For the guests, the staff of the center organized a sightseeing tour through the library. Kindergartners were pleased to try on the helmet and shield of the Scandinavian knight (viking) in the department of foreign literature, leaf through books, answered quiz questions in the local lore department, learned what catalog boxes are needed for.

In the regional center of the Presidential Library, the children named the differences of the paper book from electronic, they guessed the names of the fairy-tales from the illustrations of the game "Guess-Read", saw how the books were digitized - this was remembered most of all!

On the Presidential Library portal, the Republic of Komi is represented by the collection "The Komi Republic: Pages of History". The selection includes studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and phonographic materials reflecting the administrative, socio-economic and ethnographic position of the territories which are now part of the Komi Republic. The current Constitution of the Republic of Komi is also presented.
