Representatives of the older generation from Kurgan became interested in the collection of the Presidential Library

2 March 2018

Computer literacy courses for readers of the older generation have been held in the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library for 6 years within the framework of the “Longevity Password” project. The aim of the project is to provide people of retirement age with access to information technologies and to develop skills in using modern technologies, including work on the Internet.

At the regular lesson, on March 2, the course participants got familiar with the library's electronic resources, in particular, with the portal of the Presidential Library. They were especially interested in the collection "The Kurgan region: pages of history". The collection includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic and photographic materials of the XIX and early XXI centuries, characterizing the administrative, socioeconomic, geographical position of the Kurgan and Shadrinsky districts, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kurgan region.
