A series of events for future voters in the Murmansk region

The Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library has become the organizer of a single regional action "Your Choice, Russia!", which takes place from March 1-15.

The purpose of the action is legal education of young and future voters, education of their sense of patriotism and civil responsibility, development of interest in the process of organizing and holding elections.

During this period, young and future voters will be able to meet with the organizers of the elections and learn about the electoral process. Schoolchildren and students will take part in legal games, creative competitions, round tables, thematic quizzes, exhibitions, tournaments on the topic of elections. Cities and settlements of the Arctic Circle will take part in the action. More than 100 events will be held, in which more than 9,000 participants are expected.

Visitors of the regional center of the Presidential Library, acting on the basis of the Murmansk Regional Scientific Library, will get familiar with the history of elections in Russia and test their knowledge of the electoral law.

On the Presidential Library website the Murmansk region is represented by the collection "Murmansk region: pages of history". The proposed selection includes studies, statistical materials, archival documents, visual and video materials reflecting the geography, socio-economic and political aspects of the history of the Murmansk region in the second half of the XVIII century and the first third of the XX century, as well as the current Charter of the Murmansk region.
