The Presidential Library will participate in the festival "To the museum - today, to science - tomorrow!"

March 12, representatives of the Presidential Library participated in a press conference at the Interfax News Agency, dedicated to the festival "To the museum - today, to science - tomorrow!". The second inter-museum-university festival will be held in St. Petersburg from March 24 to April 1. Its tasks are to use the joint potential of employees of museums, libraries, universities and research institutes to motivate young people to make a thoughtful choice of their future profession and attract students and young scientists to scientific research. Among the organizers of the festival are the Committee for Science and Higher Education of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Education of St. Petersburg, the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg State University, the V. V. Dokuchaev Central Museum of Soil Science.

Within the framework of the festival program "To the museum - today, to science - tomorrow!" the Presidential Library specialists elaborated a thematic excursion, during which participants learn about the professions representatives of which work in the institution. They are bibliographers, researchers, technologists, filmmakers, programmers, video engineers, journalists, guides, managers, designers, exhibition specialists. Specificity of the presented professions determines functional features of the Presidential Library not only as a state electronic repository of documents on Russian history and the Russian language, but also as a large multifunctional multimedia, cultural, educational, scientific, educational and information-analytical center of Russia. Tourists will visit the conference hall and multimedia hall-transformer, equipped with the latest technical equipment using 3D-technologies; in the electronic reading room learn about the possibilities of working with digital documents both in the library's fund and on the Internet portal.

From 26 to 29 March, the Presidential Library provides free guided tours for organized groups of festival participants. The entrance to the building of the Presidential Library is available upon showing the passports - in advance (no later than one working day) by the organizations submitted to the lists with passport data by the attached form. The list should indicate the contact details of the responsible person (full name, mobile phone number).
