The history of the suffrage was spoken about at the Kurgan Regional Library

March 14 the information hour "Elections of the President of Russia" using the Internet resources of the Presidential Library was held at the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library.

Students of the Kurgan State College have become readers of the Presidential Library. In the center of remote access to the resources of the library, they learned the history of the formation of the electoral law in our state. Particular attention was paid to the electoral system of modern Russia.

At the event, the students got familiar with the electronic collection "The Electoral System in Russia: the Past and the Present". It features both historical sources on the subject of suffrage (official and archival documents) and research papers. Also, students were shown a training video film from the Presidential Library's fund "ABC of a Voter", which tells about the main milestones in the history of the electoral system and elections in Russia.
