Lessons on the Electoral System of Russia are held in the Altai Territory

The lesson "The Electoral System of Russia: the Past and the Present" was elaborated in the V. Y. Shishkov Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library (ACUNB) for senior pupils. Within the framework of the lesson, the history of the electoral system in Russia is revealed from the XI century to the present day on the basis of rare documents from the Presidential Library's collections and modern legal acts. The multimedia lesson is added with interactive components - the educational film "ABC of a Young Voter" from the Presidential Library's collections and online testing.

From February 19 to March 9, these lessons were organized for students of the Altai Territory in various formats: on the ACUNB site, in schools and in the remote mode.

A total of 105 educational lessons were conducted, 2159 schoolchildren from 40 districts and cities of the Altai Territory and 98 educational organizations were included.

On the website of the Presidential Library the collection "The Electoral System of Russia: the Past and the Present" is presented. The selection includes the following sections: the history of the electoral system in Russia, the electoral system in modern Russia, and educational and methodological resources.
