Schoolchildren from Belarus won an international essay contest

On the eve of the election of the President of the Russian Federation, the winners of the international youth essay contest on the theme "How I see the future of Russia: my wishes to the President of Russia" took place.

Young compatriots showed a high interest in participating in the contest, organized by the International Council of Russian Compatriots in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

The jury received 346 essays from 41 countries. The first place in the Republic of Belarus was taken by a pupil of the 10th grade of Skidel School №1, Andrei Petushkov. Andrei is a pupil of a class with a philological bias, is engaged in a school circle of young journalists, more than once became the prize-winner of regional Olympiads in the Russian language. In his composition, the young author admitted that he was very keen on literature, culture, the history of Russia, and admired its great destiny. According to the ninth-grader, Russia is independent, consistent in its steps, respects the rights of other countries and is open to dialogue. Therefore, he believes that it is necessary to continue the same line of foreign policy as the fight against terrorism. Andrei is confident that the elected President will continue all important vectors of the country's development.

Prize-winner of the contest was also the pupil of the 10th grade of the secondary school № 25 of the city of Brest Angelina Kuketa. Representatives of the Consulate General and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brest visited the school where the girl was studying. In a solemn atmosphere, she received an honorary certificate and a gift - a certificate for participation in the cultural and educational program of Rossotrudnichestvo "Hello, Russia!".

On the portal of the Presidential Library within the framework of the basic collection "State Authority" an electronic collection "The Institute of Presidential Authority in Russia" is presented. It included legislative acts, studies, teaching aids, videotapes, texts of speeches and other materials related to the activities of the President of the Russian Federation and the bodies providing his work. Within the sections, the materials are given in a direct chronology, which makes it possible to trace the historical stages in the development of the presidency in our country.
