The finalists of the Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" are determined
The results of the interactive Olympiad for schoolchildren in history, social studies and the Russian language "Russia in the Electronic World" were summed up at the Presidential Library.
The final, full-time stage of the Olympiad was held in the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg, in its branch in the Tyumen region, as well as at 11 sites of the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library in the Moscow region, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Tambov, Novosibirsk, Penza , Barnaul, Voronezh, Khanty-Mansiysk and Kazan.
The tasks for the Olympiad were elaborated on the basis of resources (copies of unique audio and video documents, archival materials, rare books, etc.), which are available to the user on the portal of the Presidential Library. The finalists of the Olympiad were show not only profound knowledge of the educational material on subjects, but also erudition and non-standard thinking.
The third and final stage of the Olympiad included 188 pupils from 44 regions of Russia, 31 of them were recognized as finalists: 15 people in history, 13 in social studies, and 3 in Russian. Schoolchildren from different parts of the Russian Federation have achieved success: St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow Region, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Kursk, Yekaterinburg, Tver, Tula, Volgograd, Ryazan, Barnaul, Izhevsk, Kazan, Chelyabinsk and Chelyabinsk region, as well as the Kaliningrad and Tambov regions.
Internet Olympiad for schoolchildren "Russia in the Electronic World" - a large-scale project, which is held by the Presidential Library in conjunction with the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the Main Scientific Research Computing Center of the Department of Affairs of the President of the Russian Federation. In history and social studies, it is included in the List of schoolchildren’s Olympiads, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, which gives its winners and prize-awardees the right to preferential admission to universities. Winners and prize-awardees on the "Russian language" discipline will be granted with additional points upon admission to Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.
This year, more than 5,200 schoolchildren from all 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as seven foreign countries: Algeria, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad, which was held for the eighth time.
In total, starting from 2010, about 33 thousand pupils of the 10-11 grades took part in the project, the purpose of which was the students' appeal to sources on the history of Russia, the theory and practice of Russian statehood.
