On December 22, 2011, the 15th meeting of the Cooperation Council of National Libraries of the Russian Federation was held at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. Leaders and leading experts of the country's three libraries gathered to chart further directions for joint activities. The jubilee forum was opened by the General Director of the Presidential Library A. P. Vershinin, the Director General of the Russian National Library A. V. Likhomanov and the Director General of the Russian State Library A. I. Visly. For the first time the participation in the meeting was hosted by the Head of the Department of Informatization and Communication of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation, AO Yakushev. At the plenary session, the academic secretary of the Presidential Library, E. V. Smolina, presented a consolidated report of three libraries on joint work over the past year, Deputy Director General of the Presidential Library for Information Resources E. Zhabko - a report on the scientific and methodological activities of the institution, the Deputy Director General of the Library on organization and technology PG Tereshchenko presented a report on the technological base of information systems of the Presidential Library. Traditionally, the guest of the meeting was the director of the LIBNET Center, Boris R. Loginov. In the videoconference mode, participants from Moscow - the head of the Department of Libraries and Archives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, T. Manilova and the Executive Secretary of the Presidential Library, Deputy Director General V. A. Beresnev, joined the meeting. The work of the forum was continued in six working groups, where experts discussed topical issues of interaction of national libraries.
