On March 1, 2012, in Chita, within the framework of the Days of the Northern Peoples of the Trans-Baikal Territory, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library and the regional government. On the same day, on the basis of the Trans-Baikal Regional Universal Scientific Library named after AS Pushkin, a center for access to the resources of the Presidential Library opened for all residents of the region. The solemn ceremony was held with the participation of the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory RF Geniatulin, the Minister of Culture of the Trans-Baikal Territory G. Syrovatki, the head of the Regional Library N. Orekhova and other officials. The Presidential Library was represented by Sergey Makeev, Deputy General Director for work with branches.
