A clear acrylic layer (polymer resin) is applied to the image. White metal, polymer resin. Black, red and yellow enamels. Stamping. The size is 16x23 mm. Pin fastening, vertical. Location: From a private collection. - A souvenir badge is dedicated to the memorial complex "Khatyn", located 54 km to the north-east from Minsk in the Logoisk district of the Minsk region of the Republic of Belarus. The memorial is located on the site of the village of Khatyn, which was destroyed on March 22, 1943 by a punitive detachment as revenge for the murder of several German servicemen by partisans. 149 residents of Khatyn were burned alive or shot for possible assistance to partisans. In 1969 the memorial complex was opened. "Khatyn" became a symbol of mass destruction of civilians, carried out by the Nazis in the occupied territory of the USSR, a tribute to all those who perished during the Great Patriotic War
