The Kiev caves and the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. - Kiev: printing house of Semyentovsky, 1864. - 86, II p., [2] f. yl. : ill. ; 17 cm. - The book is dedicated to the foundation of the most important Ukrainian shrine and a place of mass pilgrimage not only for Ukrainians, but for all Slavs - the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The publication tells about the birth of monastic life in Kiev from the very beginning: about the appearance of the first caves, the construction of the first monasteries, the deeds of monks. The main part of the material is a list of the relics of holy saints with the directions of their location. The publication is supplemented with images of monasteries of the Lavra, its caves, etc.
