On the postcard picture of the sculpture "Mermaid", installed on the quay in Miskhorsky Park. The author is an Estonian sculptor, academician of the Petersburg Academy of Arts Amandus Heinrich Adamson. It was installed in 1905. "Mermaid" is a complement to the sculptural composition "The Girl of Arza and the Robber Ali Baba". In the basis of the composition of the composition lay the ancient legend about the kidnapping by the robber Ali Baba of the beautiful Arza. Unable to withstand bondage, the beautiful woman threw herself into the sea and appeared at her native shores in the image of the Mermaid. - Materials of the site "Yalta.
