February 28, 1798, the Water Communications Department was established under which a depot was formed "to all hydraulic maps for the whole empire "and drawing," both for the necessary work, and for delivering copies of all those maps, plans and projects to the Engineering Depot. " June 16, 1809 the depot was transferred to the newly formed Water Report Expedition, and on May 28, 1820 - to the newly formed Department of Projects and Estimates. June 16, 1865, when the Department of Railway Transport was transformed, the Depot of Cards was subordinated to the Training Committee; December 31, 1870 - deposited in the established Technical Inspection Committee of highway and water communications. June 6, 1884, he was transformed into the Technical Department of the Department of Road and Water Communications, where the Depot of Cards was transferred. May 3, 1899 with the general reorganization of the central institutions of the Ministry of Railways Depot cards on the rights of the archive fund transferred to the General Archive of the Ministry of Railways. - The fund includes cases involving plans, facades, sections of government buildings, educational and medical institutions, churches and other buildings in different cities of Russia: Akmola - Kazan province for 1784-1861. (op.1), 1750-1887 gg. (item 2), for the years 1747-1916. (item 3), 1764-1916. (item 4); Kaluga - Olonets province for the years 1750-1887. (item 2); Orenburg - Simbirsk province for 1747-1916 gg. (item 3); Smolenskaya - Yaroslavl Province for the years 1764-1916. (item 4). Typical drawings, drawings of undefined objects; albums of plans and drawings of different buildings in Austria, Germany and France for 1810-1879. (item 5)
