The collection of materials includes: a photograph of Yuri Mikhailovich Chigirev (1987 , in a dress suit, with awards), a photograph of the medal "For the capture of Koenigsberg" and a certificate for the medal. Red Army man Chigirev Yury Mikhailovich for the participation in the heroic assault and capture of Koenigsberg by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 9, 1945 was awarded the medal "For the capture of Koenigsberg". The medal was awarded on October 13, 1945. The medal is a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm, made of brass. On the front side of the coin: in the center there is the inscription "FOR THE KYRGYZBERG", above the inscription is a five-pointed star with divergent rays, below is a laurel branch. The front side of the coin is bordered with a ledge. On the reverse side of the coin is the date of the capture of Koenigsberg: "April 10, 1945", over the date - a five-pointed star. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal with the ear and ring is connected with a pentagonal shoe, covered with silk moire ribbon. The tape consists of five stripes alternating with each other: three black and two green. The edges of the tape are bordered by narrow green strips. Features of the medal: the ear of the medal is a separate element, rounded, attached by soldering. This option was manufactured immediately after the end of the Great Patriotic War in 1945-1946. The certificate to the medal: A No. 000594. On the certificate the coat of arms of the USSR has 11 ribbons. The document is filled with blue ink, sealed. On the certificate is a handwritten signature: Head 8 dd. Staff ... (inaudible) Lieutenant-Colonel Kuropatkin. Location: From a private collection. - Chigirev Yury Mikhailovich (born January 20, 1925 in Rostov, Yaroslavl Region) - went to the front in January 1943. He studied at the Tambov Machine-Gun School. Member of the Battle of Kursk. He fought in the Bryansk Front. Was injured. He fought in the third Belorussian Front. Participated in the combat operation "Bagration".
