Presented: a photograph of Yuri Mikhailovich Chigirev (1987, in a dress suit, with awards) and a photograph of the anniversary medal "Forty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." (front and back sides). The medal is a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm, made of brass. On the front side of the medal: on the background of a five-pointed star, laurel branches and the lights of a festive salute in honor of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, images of a sculptural group of a soldier, worker, collective farm and Spassky tower of the Moscow Kremlin; at the top of the date - "1945" and "1985". On the reverse side of the coin are placed: in the upper part of the circumference the inscription "TO THE PARTICIPANT OF THE WAR", in the middle - the inscription "40 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", in the lower part - a relief image of a sickle and a hammer above the ribbon. The edges of the medal are edged with a ledge. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal with the ear and ring is connected to a pentagonal block, covered with silk moire ribbon, with three longitudinal narrow black strips alternating with four narrow strips of orange and one red. The edges of the tape are edged with narrow green strips. Location: From a private collection. - Chigirev Yury Mikhailovich (born January 20, 1925 in Rostov, Yaroslavl Region) - went to the front in January 1943. He studied at the Tambov Machine-Gun School. Member of the Battle of Kursk. He fought in the Bryansk Front. Was injured. He fought in the third Belorussian Front. Participated in the combat operation "Bagration".
