The photo shows a monument on the mass grave of the crew members of the patrol ship "SKR-31" located on the territory of the military station city ​​cemetery in Polyarny. The monument is a vertical stela of black stone, in the upper part - an image of the crash of a ship that fell under the attack of fighters. In the center there are lists of dead seamen. On May 12, 1943, as a result of a raid by six German fighters, the guard ship "SKR-31" crashed. Only one man out of 52 crew members survived. 23 people could lift bodies from the water and bury them in the cemetery of Polyarnoye, the rest are buried by the sea. The monument was installed on May 9, 1965 .
