In 1962, Julian Semenovich Semenov worked in the archives, began writing a detective novel that opens the trilogy of writer Julian Semyonov about the work of the Moscow criminal investigators Petrovka, 38. In preparation for the creation of the story, the author was trained in the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department: he went to the crime scene, examined corpses, took part in operations to detain suspects. It was from this story that Julian Semyonov received his vocation as the author of the detective genre .
