The author of the sculptures is A. S. Charkin, the project of the architect I. I. Sautov. The monument is a sculptural group of three bronze figures of writers, made in full size. Memorable composition is dedicated to playwrights of the 20th century, plays of which are also relevant today and are included in the repertoire of many Russian theaters. The monument was created on the initiative of the People's Artist of the USSR Oleg Tabakov. It is installed in the inner courtyard of the theater "Tabakerka" (Chaplygin St., 1a)
