From July 8th to 20th, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted a multimedia exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, one of the world's longest railways. The exhibition was prepared by staff from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the National Library of Buryatia.

The exhibition's opening date was chosen carefully. On July 8th, 1974, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the Council of Ministers of USSR approved the decision to construct the Baikal-Amur Railway. This event marked the beginning of the 50-year celebration of BAM.
