History and Culture: Exhibition “Russian Icons of the 17th – early 20th Century from the Collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg” underway

The Rumyantsev Mansion (St. Petersburg) presents the exhibition “Russian Icons of the 17th – early 20th Century from the Collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg”.

The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg houses about 500 monuments of icon-painting art. The highlights of the museum collection - around 60 icons – are currently on display. The exhibition is an opportunity to discover main development trends in the Russian icon-painting art of Modern history: from the second half of the 17th century to the early 20th century.
