28 July 2021

Developing the federal project "Human Resources for the Digital Economy", special working groups of the Innopolis University (Republic of Tatarstan) approved 30 sets of digital competence for university graduates.

Competence standards will enter new higher education programs. After local tests, the country's leading universities will implement new educational programs.

Eleven working groups chose the sets of competence. The experts were representatives of industrial and IT companies and heads of federal departments, leading universities, federal educational and methodological associations and professional councils. They formed a list of professional competencies and social and personal characteristics required for a graduate's professional activity.

"In the training of specialists, it is necessary to form the correct vision of the result. Educational organizations must understand their customers. They must see what the employer wants from the graduate and what the graduate's parents and society expect. Discussion of the stages of educational programs improvement on an open expert platform allows developing mechanisms for the training of in-demand specialists that meet the requirements of the modern world", said Maria Obraztsova, Director of the Institute of Additional Education of Innopolis University.
