IT and Culture: Information and Educational Center “Russian Museum: Virtual Branch” opens its doors on board “Academician Feodorov” vessel

On November 7 2011 on board the research vessel “Academician Feodorov” of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute is opening the Information and Educational Center “Russian Museum: Virtual Branch”. Inauguration of the virtual branch is held on the threshold of “Academician Feodorov” setting off for Russian Antarctic Expedition. In February 2012 the Russian Museum’s virtual branch is expected to be founded on “Novolazarevskaya” Russian Antarctic Research Station.

The virtual branch on board “Academician Feodorov” vessel will become the third “floating” center opened by the museum. In 2011 such branches appeared on board two Russian sailing vessels – “Mir” and “Nadezhda”.
