Scientific and methodical activity of libraries of the Russian Federation: current issues of theory and practice” in Moscow

October 23, 2014 in Moscow is held the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific and methodological activities of libraries of the Russian Federation: current issues of theory and practice".  

The conference is held as part of the Annual Meeting of Directors of the federal and regional central libraries of Russia under the auspices of the Russian Library Association in the Russian State Library.

The conference is aimed to reveal the methodological aspects of library activities in their entirety, to identify ways to promote innovative development and improve the effectiveness of libraries - teaching centers in the Russian Federation. Following the conference is planned to publish materials.

To participate are invited leaders and specialists of governments, libraries, universities, and research institutes.

Topics for discussion:

- Methodical activities in the field of library science today: the nature, purpose, content;

- Regulatory and economic grounds;

- Methodical work as state and municipal services;

- Methodical practice of state and municipal libraries;

- Methodical maintenance of libraries for children, youth and persons with disabilities of life;

- Information and methodical human resources activities;

- Methodical work in an electronic environment;

- Methodical function of library societies and associations.
