The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
The Presidential Library collection Russia - Uzbekistan: from the history of the relationship has been enriched with materials provided by the Russian State Library, the Library of Congress, the Russian State Historical Archives, the State Public Historical Library, the Children's Museum of postcards.
Presented studies, essays, archival documents and photographs introduce with the geography, history administrative structure, cultural and economic development of individual cities and regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mainly during their tenure in the Russian Empire.
Systematic and holistic view of the vast Central Asian Russian territory is given in the textbook of the teacher of the Municipal School Turkestan region Nicholas Valeryanovich Ostroumov Geography of the Turkestan region: with a summary of the khanates of Bukhara, Khiva and the Trans-Caspian region (Samarkand, 1891). The publication contains information about orography and hydrography of the Turkestan region, the climate and its impact on the health of people in the region, about agriculture, fisheries and crafts, trade and means of communication, an administrative division of the territory, of Russian colonization in Central Asia, in addition explains Bukhara and Khiva Khanate and the Trans-Caspian region. A map of the tutorial Turkestan region is included. The title page of the publication contains the inscription of the author.
K. I. Ignatiev in the book Samarkand district: a brief description of districts and counties (Samarkand, 1926) provides a complete analysis of modern economic life of the projected areas covered economic opportunities of an area, outlined the possible prospects of national economic life.
The National statistical characteristics of the Turkestan region is contained in the edition The population of Samarkand region, its population, ethnographic composition and spatial distribution (based on the agricultural census of 1917, supplemented by other sources) with the ethnographic map (L., 1926).
Bukhara
Ethnographic essay of N. A. Friedrich Bukhara (St-P., 1910) introduces the geographical location and nature of the region, with the features of life of the population, agriculture, industry, crafts and trade, with the major cities, religion and public education Bukhara Khanate.
The book by P. S. Saveliev Bukhara in 1835 (St. Petersburg., 1836) describes the location of the capital city of Bukhara, topography, architecture (houses, palaces, mosques, schools, baths); describes the population, trade routes through Bukhara in different countries of the European travelers visiting the city.

Tashkent
The Collection of the binding decisions of the Tashkent City Council (Tashkent, 1894) contains the decision about the device sidewalks, on establishments of tavern, fishing measures to prevent and combat, device forges, production cars of fishing and other acts relating to everything the city and health.

Khiva
About the ancient town in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya, the pearl of the Khorezm oasis, a long time is one of the main centers of the Great Silk Road, is told in the book of S. V. Rusov Journey from Orenburg to Khiva of the Samara merchant Rukavkin, in 1753, with the initiation of various news about Khiva from remote times until now (St-P., 1840).
