The center’s staff told children about the process of manuscript making, the publication technology at the dawn of the printing era, and showed videos. Children were acquainted with various book elements and artistic means of book design.

Children took part in a quest which gave a chance to get the certificate of membership of young keen readers’ club - "KLYUCH". Participants successfully passed a number of tests. Teams worked with the Presidential Library’s electronic reading room, studied the website's features and discovered the history of creation of the first printed book in Russia - "The Apostle" dated 1564. By having successfully completed the tasks of "Word string" stage participants demonstrated good knowledge of book elements.
